ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

The management of Neutrogena regards Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) as our highest values and key indicators of organizational excellence. They shall be given equal consideration with all other business functions, managed and monitored as any other operational function and shall be based on continuous improvement. To the greatest degree possible, management will provide all resources required for EH&S in keeping with the highest standards.
NEUTROGENA'S POLICY IS TO:
- OPERATE in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations by uniformly meeting Neutrogena's EH&S policies and standards, EH&S management system standards, and other voluntary principles to which we subscribe.
- MAINTAIN A SYSTEM at the corporate and operating unit level that assures the proper level of oversight and authority, placing EH&S accountability as a measure for management performance.
- INTEGRATE EH&S goals into our business strategies and plans.
- MINIMIZE the environmental impact by lowering emissions, maximizing resource efficiency, and training our employees in sound environmental practices. In addition, prevent all work-related injuries, ill health and incidents by providing safe and healthy work conditions.
- EMPLOY innovative practices and share information among companies to optimize the overall EH&S performance.
- CONTINUOUSLY IMPROVE our EH&S management system by establishing targets and objectives to meet or exceed legal requirements. In addition, periodically review the established targets and objectives to evaluate their effectiveness, determine appropriateness and measure success.
- TRAIN AND EDUCATE our management, employees and persons working on behalf of Neutrogena to foster awareness of Neutrogena's EH&S Management System. Insist that every employee be an active partner and accept personal accountability in providing a healthy, injury-free and safe environment.
- ENHANCE social responsibility by supporting EH&S education, conservation and community-based programs.
