Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by absolutely horrible I used this many years ago to clear up my skin and it worked like a charm so when I started breaking out again recently I purchased this based on past results. BIG MISTAKE! Instead of clearing up the occasional blemish I started getting large, pus filled acne all over my face, even in places I've never had acne before. I wasn't sure if the product was doing it or something else so I discontinued using it and my skin cleared up within a few day. I gave it a second try by applying it every other day instead of every day and the same thing happened, break outs galore. Now I'm stuck with an almost full bottle of this garbage and no use for it. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Broke out in horrible hives! Would give this a lower rating if it were possible. I began itching the first day and didn't make the connection to the lotion until after applying it the second day. Itchy irritated skin quickly developed into watery eyes, red burning skin, welts, and a swollen face. It's the end of day 3 and the swelling is finally beginning to subside. I hope to improve over the weekend so I can return to work on Monday. Would trade the welts in a heartbeat for my old dry winter skin. I don't know what they put in it, but I'll look for a more natural alternative. Jan 23, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by the smell will having you running for a shower This lotion is awful. Whatever chemicals are in it stink to high heaven. The smell is rancid-oil and doesn't go away atfer you put it on. I can't believe Neutrogena chemists made a product this vile - where ever they were trained should be de-certified. On top of the smell, there is some extreme citrus flavor that stays on your face so if you get some on your lips, it not only smells awful, but tastes awful too. I like citrus, so it is the combination of the citrus with that nasty rancid oil taste that makes it heinous. Something that smells and tastes this bad cannot be good for your skin (it stings my eyes too). Why did Neutrogena get rid of their wonderful product "Intensifed all day moisturizer" in the jar with the blue top which had no smell, moisturized my face and left no stinging of the eyes? Do not buy this lotion. I read some reviews on Amazon and those reviewers referred to some dangerous chemicals in this product. Please Neutrogena, go back to your roots and make healthy skin products. I need to go take a loooong hot shower to get rid of every molecule of this stuff Jan 10, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Like a professional laser treatment!! I used to have porcelain skin until I had my son. After that ( 16 years ago) I developed adult acne. I am horrible about picking the acne and bumps on my face, and have really bad red marks and scars. After 4-5 uses, I've noticed that my face has become softer, smoother, no acne, and has already started to fade the red marks on my face. I had tried EVERYTHING! Switching makeups, scar creams, acne creams, facial scrubs.... I've been so frustrated that I've thought about laser treatment. I also have large pores...my son says it looks like an orange peel. I'm 39 and my face had really stared looking bad for the first time in my life. I was desperate!! I can't believe the change in my face after just one week. I'm so happy with it! And it's not greasy at all like other products I have used. I have oily skin and this is perfect!! Pretty sure I found what I've been looking for all along!! Jan 4, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by My skin is hydrated and I look younger!!! I have been using this product for so many years I can"t remember. It"s the only cream I use on my face. The skin of my body is rather wrinkled, but not my face. I use it everyday, I "ve read it helps with the production of colagen. It's a pitty that in Uruguay, where I live, they stopped importing it so I have to buy it in USA.I strongly recomend it!! Dec 19, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Changing the Forumla!!! I would normally give this product (with the original formula that is still listed on this site) an EXCELLENT! I've been using the original formula since early 2000s, and it has made my skin perfect! Iit is honestly the only way I can put sunscreen on my face... But now, I have seen in two different stores, in different cities, that the box is the same, but when you flip it over to look at ingredients, they no longer have just Octinoxate 7.5% & Oxybenzone 5% listed as the sunscreens! They have Avobenzone 1.5%, Octisalate 5%, Oxtocrylene 3%, and Oxbenzone 4%... and the front of the box doesn't even have 'New Formula' or anything to tip off its loyal followers that they're getting a different product. The reason this is upsetting to me, is because my skin is highly sensitive to Avobenzone and this was the only facial lotion that I could use! The glycloic acid was a nice bonus, and helped my dull, blotchy skin to glow. I always assumed that the sunscreen formula was safe as glycolic acid allows for a deeper delivery of the other chemicals, and I figured that's why Neutrogena was sticking with the nicer sunblocks. I really hope this is some fluke, or I'll need to find a new brand!!!! Dec 16, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by I appeared to have a sunburn I would be careful with this product, and if you do try it, test it first on a very small area of your skin. Despite my age, I have a strong, somewhat oily skin and have always been able to use just about anything on it. My skin is no stranger to AHA. I began using a product with AHA over 15 years ago, in my mid-forties. I had had persistent breakouts since my early teens, and this product brought them under control. A few years ago, this product was no longer available at the pharmacy, so I switched to another AHA product, which also had good results. I few months ago, I was no longer able to find this product, and purchased the Neutrogena with AHA. My face immediately became irritated, very red and itchy. I thought that I had perhaps applied too much, so I waited a few weeks until my skin healed and tried again, using a very minimal amount. My skin again became severely irritated. I finally was able to locate my original product on line and began using it again. All is now well. I continue to use other products from the Neutrogena family. The quality of the foundation is, in my opinion, as good as any that can be found in department stores. Dec 14, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by So bummed! Did the formula change? I used to love this product! It left my skin looking young and clean. I just bought a new bottle, though, and holy swollen eyes. I must be allergic to it now :( I feel like it's kind of unfair to write a bad review based on a reaction, but I'm disappointed. Make sure you spot test before you use if you have sensitive skin.
