Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Has this product been discontinued? I've been using this product to control oily skin and an occasional blemish. I like it because it does not contain harsh chemicals and benzoyl peroxide which stains clothes. I can no longer find this product in local stores and it is out-of-stock here. Has this acne spot treatment been discontinued? May 18, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works well I usually have very clear skin (but also very sensitive). I recently had a bunch of bad breakouts and i figured i would try this product since it was natural. It was awesome. My skin has cleared up, it smells great, and it does irritate my skin. Mar 29, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Finds it keeps my skin from getting breakouts This is the best product I can find at this time but isn't always easy to find. Do you have it in Canada?? and Where? We are near Toronto, Ontario. Mar 27, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by I'm not entirely disappointed I've been using neutrogena's Acne Spot Treatment for about a month. I have very sensitive, dry and eczema-prone skin so I was kinda thrilled when I bought this on a whim (and in a panic, because I'd developed a breakout at perhaps the worst time possible) and first tried it on my wrist and it didn't make my skin scream or fall off or something even more dramatic and unnecessary. But, even though it is pleasantly non-irritating, it doesn't work. I should also mention that I don't have acne. Not in any severe way, at least. I'm 16 and my skin and hormones are currently in the middle of a war, yes, but my complexion is relatively clear. I just get random breakouts that threaten to ruin my life, which is why I bought this. I've used this on all types of blemishes -- from cystic to whiteheads to zits and blackheads -- and the best that it can do is lessen the irritation and the pigmentation. The breakouts, despite my daily applications, always remain. I will say though that I've started using this as preventative treatment, because my problem areas are very consistent (on the sides of my chin) and I've found that if I apply this spot treatment over my problem areas, I am about 90x less likely to break out there again! So that is why I'm giving this a more positive rating. I think the problem, at its core, is probably just that it's only 1% salicylic acid, and I need more than that. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone with severe acne, but to anyone with typically mild breakouts like me I say it's worth a try. Mar 12, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by BURN I would never use this product again...It made my skin burn, I also had redness & dryness too. My face was in a lot of pain after using this product....&& I break out a lot more on my chin and around my nose....Not a very happy person with this product!! Oct 4, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by In Comparison to the Acne Spot Treatment for Pro. It works a lot gentler and a lot better than the Sulfur Acne Spot Treatment for Proactiv. It's a lot less harsh and doesn't have all the other unnecessary ingredients that harm your skin more or give you slower results. In drastic times, I use this treatment at night to problem areas and my skin is healed when I awake. It's also a lot less expensive than Proactiv. I also use this with my moisturizer everyday after cleansing my face. Sep 30, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Acne is actually going away I have had about problems with my acne for about a year now and have found nothing that really makes my acne go away besides eating salads all day everyday and no chocolate. And certainly no person wants to do that so I tried using some of Neutrogena's other products but I found that they did not work very well. I then tried this acne spot treatment and have been using it for a few days and I already notice a big difference. I find that I have to use it by itself without any other Neutrogena products, but have not tried it with any other Neutrogena Natural products so not sure if you could use it with those products as well. But anyways my skin gets a lot of acne around the T area so I apply the spot treatment around that area and then add lotion to my face and do that a few times a day. And I have to say it works so well. My acne is disappearing and I am still able to eat sweets and whatever I want. I now am going to try some of the other Neutrogena Natural products and hopefully those will work just as well. I do have to say the price for the spot treatment is a little pricey especially for a teenager without a job, but you get what you pay for and I definitely am satisfied with this product. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst product I have EVER used - chemical burns! I never write reviews, but I have to say this is the absolute worst product I have ever used. I have sensitive skin and mild hormonal acne. I decided to try treating some spots on my chin and jaw with this for a few months, and it severely burned my skin causing bright red inflammation. It left me with deep red hyper pigmentation and scarring that has lasted for months. I have never had this reaction to previous breakouts, and I know that it is a result of this product. Do NOT put this on your skin! Aug 6, 2014

Clean the skin thoroughly before applying this product. Cover the entire affected area with a thin layer one to three times daily. Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase to two or three times daily if needed or directed by a doctor. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.
