Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Cleanser for my Papule/Pustule Acne I suffered from papule and pustule acne for so long, not to mention oily skin but this face wash took care of all of that! I did suffer from redness in the beginning but my skin was getting used to the product! I love this face wash and the smell is addicting! My skin can get dry but after using my moisturizer everything is A okay! I love this wash so much and will continue to use this face wash happily! Jan 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It works, but I can't use it as directed. This is the most powerful acne wash EVER. This stuff will completely remove any oil from your skin and clear it out, but the problem is, it's just too strong for daily use. I actually use the regular Neutrogena facial bar on a daily basis. If my skin begins to feel oily, then I'll step up to the Neutrogena "Deep Clean Facial Cleanser" and if necessary I'll also use that with the "Clear Pore Oil-Eliminating Astringent". Normally, that's enough, but if, and only if, that isn't enough, I'll use the "Oil-Free Acne Wash". I can only use this product maybe once or twice a week, and that will do the job, in conjunction with the other products. I could never use it twice a day as directed, but that doesn't mean it isn't a good product. I read some of the other reviews and I sympathize with those that may have developed a rash from this product. The first time I used it, the same thing happened to me from following the directions, but I did figure out how to use it, and it does have a permanent place in my normal skin regimen now. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Resulted in a rash and burning skin I purchased this for my daughter and she used it twice (beginning Jan. 2). She ended up with a rash and burning sensation after the 2nd use. It is now the Jan 5th and her skin still has a rash and tingle. Jan 5, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not happy I normally use the neutrogena transparent facial bar without any problems, however, I decided to try the liquid as it seemed more convenient, just squirt and wash. I used it for 2 days, by the 3rd day I noticed my face felt really dry, kinda like a light sandpaper, its rough feeling and kinda feels like sunburn, especially around my eyes, jawline and my neck! This is odd as I have oily skin normally. I try to moisturize after I shower and wash my face, but whatever I put on stings...I didn't know my face to be so sensitive. I have since stopped using it for the past 2 days with my face still having the rough feeling to it, but the sunburnt feeling is gone. I think I will stick with the facial bar. Jan 5, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clear and happy I have combination skin but more on the oily side. I have been battling with acne since I was 9 and I am currently 17. I've tried other products (proactive, clean and clear etc) but this face wash has worked the best. I use this every day along with the blackhead scrub. It gets my face clean and smooth. I haven't had a breakout in about 3 weeks now and I usually breakout every week. Dec 8, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Reduced blackheads and pimples This cleared my face reasonably well. I haven't had any extra problems with dryness compared to other face washes. I use it almost everyday in the week. If you're someone who gets break outs when they try something new I'd suggest doing a spot test first, like you should with every new skincare product. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't use!! I used this 5 days ago and my reaction is still not gone. I have little bumps around my chin and lower face. It feels like it's sunburnt a bit and itchy and red!! I can usually use anything as long as it doesn't have a strong scent but this was horrible. I hate how my skin feels now and it's no where near like it was before. :( Hopefully in time it will improve. Nov 24, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do Not Use! I used this cleanser twice and my skin is now completely ruined. The first day my face felt clean and tingly and I continued to use it the next. My face then turned as red as an apple with little bumps all over it. It feels like I'm running my hand over sandpaper when touching my face. The cleanser also caused very deep wrinkles on my eyelids as well as under my eyes. My entire face hurts so bad to move. Feels like I have an awful sunburn and my chin is now starting to peel. I would never recommend this product to anyone. Nov 6, 2015
