Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 both my boys experienced rashes My 4 and 8 year-old sons experienced rashes on their back and neck about 6 hours after application (second day of use). Neither boy had evidence of sunburn, and the day was cloudy and cool. Dec 28, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by We got a rash too! We wanted to find a sunscreen with zinc instead of chemicals. We gave this a try. Paid a lot more than other sunblocks and my daughter got a bad rash. Now looking at the reviews it appears we are not alone. It is a bit surprising that Neutrogena is still selling this product in light of the rash problem. Aug 22, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The ONLY Sunscreen Our Children Will Use I was shocked by the low rating, so I had to add my two cents. When we first started having children, we kept them sheltered from the sun as much as possible and even use clothing with a UPF 50+ and hats of course. Keeping them free from sun damage until they are 18 is a responsibility we take seriously and we scoured the market looking for the right product to protect their delicate skin. I tried this one bc the price was lower than the competitors boasting natural ingredients and it came in a pack that included the lotion, lip balm, and facial stick, which was a great way to start with a baby (our children have extremely sensitive skin and we have to be careful which soaps they wash with and which detergents we use for their clothing). Having sensory issues, I cannot stand the "sunscreen smell" either, so I use it as well w amazing results. When we go to the beach and come back paler than when we left, I consider it a win. I am hoping that Neutrogena creates this product in a spray form now that the babies are toddlers as it wd be much easier to re-apply to their legs and arms. Aug 22, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Red Bumpy Rash I have always used Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunscreen SPF 55 and up, and never have had an allergic reaction. Since Pure & Free Baby was more "pure" I thought I would try it. In 2 days I developed a rash on my chest and belly and a little on my legs. The active ingredients are Titanium Dioxide 4.9% & Zinc Oxide 4.7%. These do not appear to be in the other regular (non baby) sunscreen. Can someone at Neutrogena say something informative about this? There are other similar skin reactions in your reviews of this product. Thank you Aug 20, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by allergic interesting that I am not the only one with this reaction. Rash, itching and swelling after use. Tried on separate occasions since this is for babies, natural and hypoallergenic. My dermatologist recommended it too, so I wanted to make sure my reaction from this product. Aug 8, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rash! My dermatologist gave me a sample of this sunscreen because I was concerned about using a tube of chemicals daily. I broke out in a rash that has lasted a week on my arms where I used the lotion. :-( Jun 29, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Beware if you have sensitive skin! I've been searching for a sunscreen for my sensitive skin that doesn't make me breakout or give me a rash. This isn't it! Within hours of applying, I had a red, bumpy, itchy rash that has not gone away in 3 days. I will not use this product again! Jun 5, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Only Suncreen That My Daughter Doesn't React To! My daughter has sensitive skin and every sunscreen, even ones for sensitive skin, have caused her to break out in a rash except for this one. Very pleased and will continue to use. May 20, 2014
