I have never been disappointed with your products till this past weekend. I used the Pure and Free Baby Sunscreen on my 5 year old daughter because she has sensitive skin. So normally baby products work great because their supposed to be gentle but not your product. It caused a raised chemical burn like rash on both legs. URGENTLY RETEST YOUR PRODUCT. ITS HARMFUL, DO SO BEFORE THIS HAPPENS TO OTHER CHILDREN.

I wanted to post a review after reading all the reviews about rashes - it's possible that there is something in there that some people are allergic to - however, I've been using it on myself and my toddler pretty much every day for over a year with no problems. We both have dry skin and eczema and are both redheads. I like that the active ingredient is Zinc Oxide and nothing that has been linked to endocrine disruptors.

I used this product two days in a row on my 20 month old daughter. 1st day of use at the end of day her skin was red I thought I had not applied enough sunscreen today the 2nd day she got a rash on her face, her checks and forehead. the rash on her cheeks looked like blisters. I was very surprise because I like all the Neutrogena products for me.

I trusted neutrogena based on the product label for my 4 year old. He developed a rash and a fever!!! Not to mention I was on a disney vacation. A trip to the Dr instead!! My son had never been allergic to any products prior to this. I saw the previous review about their child developing a rash and I wish I would have read it before we went on our vacation.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0Â by Duckymom I just got a rash too!
I usually use the ultra sheer dry touch sunscreens but recently used this because I was putting it on my three year old. Within two days I also broke out in a bright red, raised, goose-bump like rash. It has lasted a week and is just now going away! I will not put this on myself again and I just might switch to another brand for my daughter. Seems like the product has changed in the past two years. I never had this reaction before.. Two stars because my daughter didn't react to it this time.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by Fair in Boston Great nonchemical sunscreen
I've been using Neutrogena's Ultrasheer Dry Touch for years, but sadly have begun to get sunspots over the past year or two as I've used the 70 SPF version religiously every day. After doing some research, I realized chemical sunscreens can actually cause them (called photosensitization). So I've switched to this, which has only "physical" sunblock ingredients that do not lead to photosensitization or spots. Hoping for no new dark spots this year!
The dry touch finish is the best of any sunscreen I've ever used, and I'm sad to leave it--it literally made my skin look matte and feel perfect all day, without powder. This isn't quite as nice, but it's still a great deal better than other physical sunblocks I've tried from even fancier brands--it leaves my skin soft but moist and nonoily all day, and after a bit of powder doesn't feel tacky or sticky at all.
I have very sensitive skin and have not experienced a reaction to this; I've used it for about a week. Hopefully Neutrogena clears that up! Removing the photosensitizing ingredients from the Dry Touch formulation (some sunscreens are supposed to be worse than others) would also be a good idea. In the meantime, I'm happy with this and with knowing I'm no longer doing potential damage to my skin!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0Â by suzcal1 My son now gets rashes from the sunscreen
I am long time supporter of Neutrogena as it has always worked wonders with my skin, including the sunscreens. When my son was born, I of course choose Neutrogena's baby sunscreen. It has worked until he was 15 months. We have taken beach vacations twice in the past year and both times (15 months and 2 years old), within 3 days of using the Pure and Free Baby Sunscreen, my has broken out into pimply bright red rashes. In speaking to many of the mothers that are having the same problem, we think your product is reacting to the chlorine in the pools. When my son is in the ocean, we do not see any reaction. It does take continued use over several days before the rash develops. Please look into this as this seems to be more of a problem than just what my son is experiencing.
