Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by Lulu I hate using sunblock, however...
I never wore sunblock on my face before because of the horrific smell and greasy over-all feeling. I recently spoke with a skin care professional about getting my first microdermabrasion and was told that I must wear a high SPF rated sunblock on my face afterwards. I did a lot of research and finally found this product. I started using it a few days ago to see if I could tolerate it, and WOW, I think it's fabulous--lightweight (I forget that I'm wearing it), non-greasy (who wants to feel greasy on a hot day?) and lack of a sunscreen smell (I don't want to smell the beach unless I'm actually at it). THANK YOU, NEUTROGENA!

Now you can use sunscreen and foundation without feeling like your skin is wearing a mask.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by WhenCrazyMeetsExhaustion EXCELLENT!
I had a skin cancer scare a few years ago, and have since been on a mission for a sunscreen I can wear alone or under make-up. The products I had been using were heavy or made my face look oily, but not Neutrogena's Pure & Free. I am so happy with this product!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by Wendy EXCELLENT SUNSCREEN!!
I have struggled for many years in finding a sunscreen that was light textured, easily applied and oil free. I spent hundreds of dollars on overly expensive brands and decided to try Pure & Free. I am so completely happy with this product and I highly recommend it!

I searched on-line for a product that would not stain clothing. Reviews recommended this product for not staining and for not looking dead-white. It did not stain or irritate skin, provided good protection but did look dead-white on skin.

I use this product because it has the least additives that can irritate my skin. It also blends very well without much of a ghostly look from the zinc.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by sunscreenlover Love this product but confused how to apply
I love the texture of this product. Like most reviews say, it is the lightest and most absorbable sunscreen in the market. But I am confused with the application. Should this go on bare skin before applying moisturizer or any skincare treatment products and make-ups? Or should it be applied after moisturizer and other treatment products. If the later, how would reapplying every 2 hours make sense then? The first time is on bare skin but reapplying will be on top of other skincare products. Can some product expert from Neutrogena clarify this? Thanks

Living near the beach in Southern California comes with a price for this blond-haired, blue-eyed, fair-skinned SoCal gal- premature wrinkles, age-spots, cataracts, and skin cancer (knock on wood, just talking about prevention before the fact). Wearing long-sleeves & hat is not always desirable (the sunglasses are an acceptable fixture year-round), especially for a quick dash from house-to-car-to-market and back. But my sensitive skin breaks out with most all of the other sunscreens that use ANY kind of chemicals, and titanium or zinc products often go on thick and pasty white. Whatâs a gal to do? Fortunately I've found this Pure & Free Liquid about a year ago, and use it almost daily, year-round. And a little goes a long way! I can't get over how long a bottle lasts!
THANK YOU for making a product that truly goes on sheer enough to layer under make-up (without the pasty white finish and without upsetting my skin) AND achieves a higher SPF than the standard +15 found in make-up for sensitive skin, not to mention the light, dry finish that makes wearing sunscreen a breeze. Just keep making this wonderful product which I now carry with me to all outdoor events and share with friends. The only way to make it better would be to have a (refillable) travel size the size of a lipstick, and maybe increase the SPF without losing the lightweight texture.
And while Iâm thinking big (and thinking about age spots vs driving gloves) how about developing a hand lotion with mineral-based titanium/ zinc sunscreen in a high SPF (+60 or higher) the market appears to be wide open and every baby boomer out there would be quickly convinced.
