Rated 1.0 out of 5.0Â by Lomale Bring back ultra gentle cleansing cream!
I could not find my regular ultra gentle cleansing cream face wash at Target or Walmart so tried this hoping it was just new packaging. This is nothing like my trusted original product. It was the only face wash I have been able to use for decades.
This new product caused an immediate skin reaction.
I just found a place online still selling the original and bought 14 of them so I can have time to figure out what else to do.
So very upset at this point.

I suffer from Seborrheic dermatitis and my skin was healed within a couple days of using this product. I also follow up with a moisturizer but it is gentle enough to cleanse my skin before applying the moisturizer. My skin is clean, smooth and has no flakes.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0Â by vizi5 Not like extra gentle cleanser I'm used too
I've used Neutrogena's extra gentle cream cleanser for years. I need a cream cleanser since my skin is so sensitive. Anything else makes me dry and breakout. It seems this product is no longer available. I tried Neutrogena's replacement the ultra gentle cleanser. This product is such a disappointment. First like the other reviews it burns my skin and made it feel tight, not a good sign having sensitive skin. Second it burned my eyes really bad. I used to be able to wash my eye make up off all at once with the extra gentle cream cleanser. Lastly the product has a bad smell though I could get past the bad smell if it worked like the old product. Unfortunately I'm going to have to bring the product back to my local store this weekend and will be searching for a new brand with a cream cleanser similar to your former product since it doesn't seem Neutrogena carries it anymore.

Lived by the gentle cleanser that was discontinued. Figured I would try this out...terrible. I had terrible break outs. It took weeks to get my skin back to normal.

I had been using Neutrogena's extra gentle face wash for years. It was great for my skin and I vowed I would never use anything but this wash. Guess what they discontinued it. Very disappointed!!! So I decided to try the new ultra gentle hydrating face wash hoping it would be comparable to the extra gentle face wash. No its not at all. Burns, stings and makes my face feel tight. Now I am looking for new face wash. Neutrogena please bring back the extra gentle, it was a great product for people like me with sensitive skin.

I never really looked into Neutrogena products because normally I would break out. However my cousin's face was so clear and I asked her what does she use on her face. She told me about this product and I was a little skeptical at first thinking I would possibly break out but I was so wrong. This product is amazing...my face feels better than it ever has my entire life. I will be sticking with this facial cleanser for a very long time. I am in love.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0Â by coffeebeans Leaves my skin feeling soft, but burns during use
I'm not sure what to make of this product. I had used CeraVe moisturizing face wash, which is similar to this product at least in consistency (the creamy texture) but that one left my skin feeling somewhat dry after washing my face with it.
After I ran out of that facewash I went to buy more and saw this one on the shelf. It cost less, had fewer ingredients, and contained the same amount of product (ok it was 1mL less but I don't want to nitpick) so I was somewhat excited to try this product out, especially since I liked the fact that it had so few ingredients in it. Sometimes I feel as if skincare companies almost overload their products with too many different ingredients.
Well, here's where the confusion begins because I noticed that when I apply the cleanser on my face, my face begins to burn. When I wash it off, the burning goes away, and my face does not really feel dry afterwards, but I am wondering if it is a good idea to keep using it when a burning sensation obviously is not a good thing to feel from a skincare product.
While I'm satisfied with how my skin felt afterwards, I am going to discontinue using this product due to the way it irritates my skin while it is on my face. :(
