Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible reaction I used this product for 3 days. The last time I applied, it started burning within 45 minutes. I washed it off but the damage was done. My cheeks started swelling and I now have a red rash all over my cheeks and neck. My face is still very red from the reaction and it is very dry and scaly. Aug 26, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Finally! I am from Irish and German decent, therefore I have very fair skin. Not only do I look bad with a tan, but I burn easily. This is exactly what I was looking for! It doesn't leave an icky, greasy feel. I love this product, and I intend to use it for years to come! Aug 2, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible reaction to this product While visiting friends in Florida, I decided to try their Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen on my face, because I only had SPF 8. After the first day, my skin felt dry and tight, then it started itching in spots, almost like I had poison ivy. I broke out in a horrible red rash on my cheeks, and on the left side of my chin. It became painful, swollen, tender to the touch. The skin on my cheeks became so swollen and irritated. I had lumps under both eyes. Then after 4 days, these rashes became tight and hardened, almost like a scab. Today, my face is peeling terribly, and I have anitbiotic cream on it, and I am taking ibuprofen. If this condiditon does not go away, I will have to take a visit to the dermatologist. I have NEVER had a reaction like this before. I would have been better off using my SPF 8, by another trusted manufacturer, as I usually did. I hope I am not permanently scarred. Jul 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Finally a great sunblock! I have solar keratosis on my face after a childhood in the tropics. Have tried many expensive sunblocks and all either whiten or leave a greasy film. In France where I live the highest protection is 50+ and when I found this product in NZ I tried it and bought a stock to take home. It feels nice, isn't greasy or shiny and the areas of my face that have been treated have no patches recurring. My skin is normal to dry. Jul 10, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible Reaction! Loved this product when I first purchased it, but after multiple times of use I started developing a bad rash! One day at the beach I applied this product and when I got home the parts of my body where I applied the sunscreen broke out in a chemical burn like rash. My face was red, itchy and blistered for a week..my arms all rashy. I have read other reviews and I am not the only one this has happened to... I usually adore Neutrogena products, but this one SUCKED! So upsetting. My other family members used it and had no problem, maybe I am just allergic to an ingredient in it. The only thing I can say good about this product is that it gave me a nice fresh layer of skin on my face after healing/ peeling. If you decide to purchase this product make sure to monitor! Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bleached/ruined my swimsuit/clothes The product worked great at preventing sunburn. However it ruined a very expensive swimsuit as well as clothing washed with the suit by bleaching it in various spots. It also leaves a white residue all over everything touched. My condo and rental car looked like a crime scene that had been fingerprinted. Ive used neutrogena products in the past and never experienced this problem.I will not use this product again. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Can cause allergic reaction Have used Neutrogena products for years and always felt safe with them and trusted their products. Got a sample of the Ultra Sheer 85 from my dermatologist's office and ended up with a really bad reaction on my face - swelling, rash, redness. Dr says it can take 3 wks to clear up. Tried to protect my face with what I thought was a safe product to end up with a horrible reaction instead. In the past I've used the 45, which I don't have any issue with. Aug 26, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Correct SPF Finally! I have very sensitive, sun-damaged skin. This SPF 85 Ultra Sheer Neutrogena, is the best for blocking the sunburn and ultra violet, etc. rays from my skin. 100 SPF is too white and more sticky, but cannot find 85 SPF very often. 70 allows some burning rays thru so , 85 works the best for me. I also use the spray for scalp and quick covers. Pls dont stop making 85 SPF! Mar 29, 2013
